REACH Regulation (EC) No: 1907 / 2006

As you may be aware the new EU REACH Regulations (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) came in to force on 1st June 2007, which requires the pre-registration of substances before the 1st December 2008.

Only the manufacturers and importers of substances need to pre-register and then complete full registration under the above regulations.  Regarding substance production Ink Technologies (UK) Ltd is not acting as a substance manufacturer but as a producer of preparations and hence is not required to pre-register any of our products.  Similarly with regard to importation of substances Ink Technologies (UK) Ltd does not directly import any raw materials from outside the European Union.

As a downstream user we are working with our raw material suppliers to ensure continuity of supply, ensuring that any raw materials will be pre-registered and subsequently registered within the required time frame.  At present we do not expect any product to be withdrawn due to the implementation of REACH.

Ink Technologies (UK) Ltd can also confirm that none of the Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), as listed in the ECHA list dated 01 September 08, are used in any product.

All Safety Data Sheets published by Ink Technologies (UK) Ltd comply with the new required REACH format.
